This edition of Three Cool things focuses on keeping you safe. With an adventurous trip or expedition there is an element of uncertainty that adds to the excitement of the journey.

The risk needs to be managed however and these items will help you do just that.

  1. MSR 30 oz Fuel Bottle – $21.95 – This little beauty will keep you fueled up when you space out. On trips to remote locations you typically plan it out well enough that you wont run out of gas. But things don’t always go to plan. Best to have a back up or two.
  2. Spot 3 Satallite GPS – $127.98 – The spot can help you call for help if you need it but it also expands beyond your typical cell phone range. You can send messages and people can also follow your spot location from home.
  3. MediSpor First Aid Kit – $19.99 – First aid kits are a must, but this one seems to fit the bill for being the right size. It contains the basics and some extra’s. Plus the carrying case will fit into an easily accessible exterior pocket on your bike gear. No sense in burying your first aid kit and not being able to get to it quickly.
