PLAYING AROUND WITH VIKING AXE SADDLEBAGS

I wrote a recent article about the value of microadventures  and on the heels of that inspiration, I took the opportunity to head out for a ride to see some wildlife as the riding season starts to wind down here in the Midwest. I finished up a cup of coffee and zipped up all the vents in my jacket, dug the balaclava out of its hiding spot, and threw on some additional layers to prepare as best I could to minimize the crisp chill the air would bring at 60 mph.

THE VALUE OF ADVENTURE MOTORCYCLING MIRCOADVENTURES

In 2012 Alastair Humphreys was awarded with the honor of National Geographic Adventurer of the Year for his combination of big time expeditions but also for his creation of the microadventures movement.

KYLE AND KIT: @WORLDWIDERICKS

For the fifty second installment in our ongoing interview series here at Dirt Orcas, we are very pleased to be speaking with Kit Taylor and Kyle Vanderstoep of The World Wide Ricks. They are taking a dream ride at the moment hitting remote locations by adventure motorcycle. I am very impressed by their route and destination goals. I see a lot of round the world trips and travel destinations as editor of this site and I have to say their track is unconventional. I applaud them for that.

This edition of Three Cool Thing focuses on food storage while you are on the road. The ability to keep food hot or cold, for an extended period of time while living out of your vehicle, can make or break the experience. Here are a few items you may want to consider if saving food for later is part of your needs.
