The second annual Dirt Orca’s Summer Classic – In conjunction with BMW Motorcycles of Iowa City, Backcountry Discovery RoutesJefferson County Ciderworks, Giant Loop and TheWarmingStore.com – We have once again put together a dual sport route that winds on mostly B-Roads and gravel from Iowa City to a beautiful cidery in Jefferson County, Iowa. There will be water crossings and ample dirt under our tires, but this track will be doable for all adventure bikes with at least 50/50 tread. It’s not epic, but sometimes one day is just right.

This year we have added something new. We will be constructing some natural obstacles at BMW Motorcycles of Iowa City. This will give participants the opportunity to learn specific skills from our instructors, watch live demonstrations, and get in person advice on how to navigate situations like this on the trail. Later in the day we will use the same obstacles for some friendly competitions with prizes.

The $30 Registration Fee includes:

  • Off-road instruction and obstacle training at BMW Motorcycles of Iowa City (10Am-3PM)
  • GPS Track and Guided Group Ride from BMW Motorcycles of Iowa City to Jefferson County Ciderworks (3PM – 6:30PM)
  • Mid-Atlantic BDR Movie Premiere Ticket, on-site camping, and one free drink ticket at Ciderworks (9PM – 10:30PM)
  • Raffle entry for many excellent prizes provided by our sponsors throughout the day.
