EXPLORING THE DRIFTLESS AREA WITH DRIFTLESSROADADVENTURES.COM

Being from the Midwest, I hear the phrase “The good riding” thrown around a lot. We have a lot of open space here in the Midwest but much of it has been plowed into a uniform looking agricultural plot. The Driftless Area however, offers a nice change of pace.

DIRT ORCAS STORMS DISNEY WORLD

I went to Disney World last week. I hadn't been there in nearly 30 years. I hadn't planned to go back, but I am so glad I did.

ST PATRICK’S DAY WITH DIRT ORCAS

For many people St. Patrick's Day here in the United States has evolved into some sort of temporary return to freshman year in the quad. Tipping back countless solo cups that have been blasted with green food coloring. Appreciating the drinking and the green cloths can be fun, but before you launch an all out assault on your liver this evening, I encourage you to take a few minutes and watch these great videos about Ireland itself. A real place of amazing cultural heritage and beauty worth reminding yourself about before "celebrating" it.

TRANS WISCONSIN ADVENTURE TRAIL – OCTOBER 2016

Each year I try to take a short mid October trip to some nice Midwest destination and do a few days of hiking and camping to celebrate my dogs birthday. This year I decided to run the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail and invite my brother along.
