BMW released the VISION NEXT 100 prototype and with it comes the promise of a safer more interactive ride.

With self driving cars already on the market, it was only a matter of time before technology took aim at motorcycling.

BMW gave us a look at motorcycling 30 years in the future. The technology all seems realistic now and aspects of it will certainly be available to consumers on other bikes shortly.

With heads up display that seems to eliminate the helmet :), BMW is striving to make motorcycling safer. That’s certainly not a bad thing. With more dynamic vectoring that creates a self balancing bike, it’s hard to imagine how this will effect the adventure class or dirt bikes but I am certainly looking forward to learning.

It also visually represents the historical boxer engine that BMW has made so well. The VISION NEXT 100 also speaks of a yet to be explained zero emissions engine that actually moves to create better aerodynamic performance.

The future is bright!
